My New Look

For the first time in over 20+ years I decided to do something that has shocked many including myself. I decided to go O’Natural …. that’s right No Weave, No Glue, No Chemicals … No Nothing. I cut my hair in fact I’m basically BALD.

What would cause me to do something so drastic …. well I was inspired by many things but I mostly just wanted a change. I was really nervous about the whole endevour and consoled myself, be advising myself that I could always get a wig if it didn’t work out but I actually LOVE my new look.

It’s amazing how many compliments I get now and how many people commend me for my bravery. A very close friend of mine encouraged me to go ahead with the transformation he assured me that it would bring out the face and features that I had been hiding behind weave and other extensions for many years. I thank him!!

Cutting your hair can be a very liberating experience, for me it represents a new start to a new me and a deeper appreciation for who I am as a person. In fact I’ve never felt more beautiful and free.

My first thought was “Oh, my.” That is not a bad “oh, my”. I absolutely love it! You have a gorgeous face and removing the hair really ups the gorgeous factor even more. If that makes any sense.

Shaving the head is such a liberating experience. I think every woman should do it at least once. Hell, it grows back. Yes, I’ve done it. Talk about low maintenance. Enjoy!

I am a big fan of going natural! You look fantastic! I have had dread locs for almost 4 years now and love not having to worry about my hair. Standing ovation for you and your new look!
