Gabourey, looks GREAT and FINALLY age appropriate on the upcoming issue of Ebony Magazine.  Featured in a Monif C top and close fitting tights for the bottom.  I like how fun her look is but I’m not sure how I feel about it overall.

My favoute signer Mary J Blige and Catherine Malandrino have teamed up to design a T-shirt collection in honor of women’s empowerment.  The collection is called FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino. FFAWN stands for the Foundation for the Achievement of Women Now, it’s the charity that was started by Mary J. Blige in 2008.

According to WWD, the collection features tunics with hand-painted messages such as “I’m Free” and “I’m Power.” The off-the-shoulder tops pictured above retail for $39, will be sold in Catherine Malandrino stores and a percentage of the sales will benefit FFAWN.  Additional styles will play up an abstract illustration of a phoenix and the FFAWN logo.

I’ve been tryng to figure out if the t-shrts will be available in our size.  Haven’t been able to get a concrete answer yet!!  I really hope they do because this is totally a tee that I would rock!!

Mary J. Blige and Malandrino will be at Bloomingdale’s new 350-square-foot Catherine Malandrino concept shop in Manhattan on February 17th, 2010.  If anyone is in NYC pass by and get an autograph for me … lol

In a photoshoot for Glamour magazine, some of the top full-figured models working in the industry today posed for the camera in their birthday suits revealing real bodies with real curves: Kate Dillon, Ashley Graham, Amy Lemons,  Lizzie Miller , Crystal Renn, Jennie Runk and Anansa Sims.

The full spread featuring these voluptuous vixens will be in the latest issue of Glamour set to hit newsstands Oct. 6. 

Be sure to get a  copy, let’s show the media our dollars count.  I think this is just the begging of something huge!!!

I find myself staying up late to watch The Wendy Williams Show  lately.  In Toronto The WWS  comes on at 11 pm EST. 

What really caught my eye is the number of  well put together Full Figured Fabulous women seated in her audience.  The camera often times puts the spotlight on them.  I swear I see at least on or two highlighted per show.  I haven’t noticed that on any other talk show.  For the past two nights she even featured some Full Figured women who are doing big things.

On Tuesday Night’s Show …

The opening anouncements were made by Keir Keke Duncan Director of  Size Revolution  and organizer of the 1st Annual Queen City Full Figured Fashion Week  in North Carolina September 30 – October 3.  Keke was dressed in designs made by En. V New York. 

On Wednesday Night’s Show …

The Super Cute  Amber Riley  from Fox Show Glee  was on.  I loved her look everything was so on point!! Hair, shoes and a chic blue dress.

So JJ Hudd and David Otunga became the proud parents of a baby boy yesterday.  Sources say the proud parents are estatic about their new bundle of joy.  Baby David Daniel Otunga Jr.  obviously named after his father weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz. 

Well JJ SV wishes you all the best; Congrats!!  We will have to wait and see how this story unfolds.

I’ve been trying to keep the celebrity gossip to a minimum these days so that I can focus on fashion.  So, if you’ve noticed I’ve only been publishing posts pertaining to Celebs on Mondays.  Hence the new name!!

Queen Latifah, Aretha Franklin, Gloria Gaynor, all performed at the recent 91st birthday party for the great Nelson Mandela.  WOW!! In my short life I’ve been able to witness so many things come to fruition, that many people have only dreamed about.  I actually remember when apartheid was still around and Nelson Mandela was in jail.  It was an amazing tribute for an amazing man.  Mandela is still dancing and full of life at age 91 after all that he’s been through, what’s our excuse??  Check out the Triple F’s that had the honor of gracing the stage at this momentous occasion:
