Ladies, having well manicured hands is so important to your appearance.  Your hands are a very obvious part of your body.  We use them to emphasize a point in conversation, to touch others and to complete daily tasks but yet so many us over look the importance of well groomed hands.  Looking your best all the time isn’t easy, it takes hard work and dedication.   Whether or not you choose to use polish, your nails should always be a conservative length, clean, healthy and well manicured.  SV thinks that tips and any type of overlay are a thing of the past, Tres Passe.  The hottest look right now consist of natural nails and vibrant colours.  We recommend you get a manicure weekly.  Whether you do it yourself or visit a nail salon keeping your nails looking good is a must for all Triple F’s.

Searching the web so you don’t have to, SV came across indiDenim an innovative company that makes custom denim jeans.  Customers are able to order custom fit designer jeans made to their measurements.  The company says they are trying to make designer jeans a reality for the plus size consumer who is often overlooked by other premium denim brands.  I really like this concept, I think being able to get jeans that are made specifically for any body type is an amazing idea. 

Finding a good pair of jeans isn’t easy, being  Tall and Triple F like me, makes it even harder.  The site allows you to create your jeans step-by-step.  Colour, wash, hem style, zipper, length etc …. it walks you through the entire process.  The site is extremely user friendly and I think the jeans a priced very reasonably especially since they are custom made.  Can’t speak to quality but once I purchase a pair I’ll be sure to let you all know!!

SV discovered some HAUTE Designer Fashions by Designer Jasmine Elder.  I must say, this is one of the first “Plus Size” fashion lines that I’ve seen that actually looks designer.  I really like the Jibri Line.  I obviously can’t talk to the quality and fit but based on the models she has chosen it looks like the fit might just be on point!!  Jibri has chosen to use some “for real” models not those pseudo – full figured women most designers use.  I can’t wait to try her stuff out.  Hope fully Jasmine will see our post and send SV a free sample or two.  Jasmine just in case you happen to see this post I really like your ruffle white top and graphic print one shoulder fitted dress.  Oh yeah I’m a size 16 top and 18 bottom. (hehe I know, I know absolutely no shame)

SV just can’t get enough of singing sensation Chrisette Michele.  Chrise Michie looked Super Fab, just Gorgeous in her form fitting dress while performing at the Harlem Renaissance Ball last night in NYC.

SV is so loving the Queen’s look.  Queen Latifah was out celebrating the 2009 My Black is Beautiful Tour in Chicago recently.  What is the My Black is Beautiful Tour.  An extraordinary new initiative, My Black is Beautiful, celebrates the diverse collective beauty of African-American women and encourages black women to define and promote our own beauty standard — one that is an authentic reflection of our indomitable spirit.

SV was visiting perezhilton.com today, like we do everyday!  We were delighted to see our favourite rocker chick,  non other than Ms. Ditto.    Boy, did she have  a lot to say.  Beth apparently has issues with Katy Perry, she seems to think she’s a wanna be DIKE??  Yeah that’s what she said!  Beth’s pissed, she says that Kurious Katy was able to profit from a song that talks about experimenting with another women.  Beth thinks Katy’s  ”riding the backs of her culture”  with out having to pay any dues or go through the struggle.  For those of you that don’t know Beth is straight gangsta she doesn’t hold back for anyone!  SV will keep you posted when and if Katy strikes back.

SV absolutely loves what Mewv is trying to do, and the fact that not only are they concerned about sustainability but they’re also trying to cater to all shapes and sizes are definite plus’.  I don’t know about you but it’s been a while since I’ve seen a butterfly.  That says a lot about the destruction our earth is undergoing.
