SV received it’s VERY FIRST EVER Product Sample Shipment for Review  yesterday. 

The very kind people over at Just My Size sent us their 2009 fall collection; which will be available at Walmart Stores across the USA and Mexico, it will not be available in Canada just yet!!

OOOOHHH No!! was the first thing that came to mind when I opened the box from the folks at JMS!  The clothing was not at all what I expected.  I was not at all impressed at first glance.

1. JMS Tailored Trouser Pant in Warm Fudge     

2. JMS Cowl Neck Top in Ruby Stone

3. JMS Smocked Knit Dress in Ebony     

4. JMS Printed Top with Quilted V-Neck Design

My philosophy about clothing is that you always have to try things on, the item that you think you don’t like or may not look good on you tends to sometimes surprise you.  So that’s what I did I tried everything on.

By the Way ..I did take pictures of myself in each outfit but I can not upload them for what ever reason stay tuned… I thought I’d post my comments in the meantime

• My Favourite of the four was definately the Smocked Knit Dress in Ebony, it is very comfortable and the cut is very flattering! The quality isn’t the best but it’s right in line with the cost.  I probably will never wear it out of the house except as great lounge wear or a quick pick up piece.  Some of you may be wondering what a quick pick up piece (QPUP)  is … it’s that piece that you can wear to the mail box and the grocery store so your neighbors don’t see you naked.  The fit was surprisingly good and I think over all the dress was cute but very typical!!
• On to the Cowl Neck Top on Ruby Stone.  I’m not a fan of cowl neck tops but again there is something about the way the top was cut that causes it to fit surprisingly well.  The fabric is a bit on the no so great quality end but again I would call this a great QPUP.
• Next the Printed Top with Quilted V-Neck Design this top fit nicely as well but it’s really not my style.  I don’t think I would wear this one simply because it’s just not for me. 
• The pants never fit, so for them I have no comment on fit but they too do not look like a pices that I would wear a little bit old lady-ish.

Overall the line which is sold in combination with each other for just $63.00 USD is said to have great style, flattering fit and exceptional value.  I agree with 2/3 … very affordable and comfy but I would not consider the styles to be great they are very typical of what’s available in the market right now.  I think the items could be a little bit more on Trend or Hip.  There are many other stores that are offering cheap and chic items that are not so great quality with better styling options unfortunatley many of those items are not available in our size but I think if JMS changes the styling slightly this may become a great addition to the cheap and chic plus size offerings that are currently available.

I hope that my review will not deter the nice people at JMS from sending more items for review and that they are able to use the critisim constructively.
